New appointments for Mayoral Commission
Conference News, November 2004
The London Mayoral Commission examining the potential for a London Convention Centre has announced two new appointments.
Graham Frazier, vice president of Maritz Travel Europe and Bob Cotton, chief executive of the British Hospitality Association have both joined the commission. The appointments increase the representation of the travel and hospitality industries.
"Graham’s expertise in incentive travel and pan-European travel will be invaluable to the commission," says Tim Roberts of Tamesis Communications, the commissions' public relations company. "Bob’s role will be that of hospitality and hotelier industry expert," he continues.
The commission was set up to investigate the feasibility and potential benefits of building a international conference centre in London . The process is expected to take, in total, about a year. A final report will be presented to the mayor Ken Livingstone around March. This follows a series of reports concerned with demand, funding and economic viability.
