New Conference Centre for London?

The London Development Agency, under the auspices of the Mayor of London and the Mayoral Commission, is currently considering the potential benefits of building a large-scale international conference centre in London. Two IAPCO member – Lars Christensen of ICS Copenhagen and Richard Tondeur of MCI Group – are representatives of the Commission.

Gerry Acher, currently vice-chairman of business group London First and a
non-executive director of Camelot, has been confirmed as chair of the new Mayoral Commission tasked with deciding whether London needs a large-scale international convention centre.
